Happy Father’s Day to all of those dads out there!!! Father’s day is June 20th, so be sure to mark your calendars. This week’s special bonus post goes out to my husband (and father) extraordinaire: John. This year my amazing hubs will celebrate being a father to 2 kiddos, wow how the time does fly! What makes this year even more special is that John will be celebrating his first father’s day as a girl dad to our daughter Farah. Yep, that’s right, GIRL DAD. Being a girl dad is a badge of honor that he wears proudly.
Since first becoming a dad to our son Luca in 2018, John has taken the role in stride. He’s been the constant calm presence to our entire family navigating through postpartum, nursing, late nights, bathtub poops and potty training. He’s an active dad. To me it has always appeared that John walked into parenthood just knowing what to do. He’s pretty amazing that way. He always makes sure the kids are well cared for and receive enough hugs. He cleans up the vomit & poops in the middle of the night. He’s the one who cheers on the kids when they take their first step or try a new toy. In summary, he’s a PHENOMENAL dad.
He’s also a dad who is extra hard to shop for since he is one of the most content people that I know. But, it’s possible that some fancy golf swag and fantastic whiskey go a long way to win his heart. In honor of him this week, I’m posting some of John’s favorite things for inspiration. If you are looking for some ideas or need a last minute gift, look no further:
BBQ kit…need I say more?
Squirt gun (AZ summer in the pool)
Men’s Bow tie
I hope that your Father’s Day is filled with love and that you find a special way to celebrate the dads in your life. I know how much fun the day can be as well as how stressful it can be! If possible, try to involve the kids. How does everything plan on celebrating Father’s Day this year?
