Who doesn’t love a recipe with 3 ingredients or less??!! Okay, okay….maybe 4 ingredients tops if you count the chocolate chips. These brownies are best served warm out of the oven over ice cream OR cooled completely and popped in the fridge. Since they include bananas as one of the ingredients, the brownies have a shelf life of 5-7 days in the refrigerator. Make sure to use ripe bananas for ultimate sweetness. Whip these up in a few minutes and enjoy as a snack or midnight treat.
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup chocolate chips (or any add ins that you like)
4-6 ripe bananas smashed (4 large or 6 med to small)
Parchment paper
1 nonstick square bake pan
Cooking spray
In a bowl, start by mashing your bananas until smooth (this may also be done in a blender). Then add the peanut butter and whisk until smooth. Next add the cocoa powder and chocolate chips. Stir well until all ingredients are combined in a batter. Cut the -parchment paper to fit and line your baking pan, then spray thoroughly with cooking spray. Spread the batter evenly into the pan and place into the oven at a preheated 350 degree oven for 35-45 mins. Baking time can vary greatly depending on mixture. Once firm on the top and in the middle, let cool completely and refrigerate for 4-7 days. Feel fee to eat cold – they are absolutely delicious!
