Every year I try and scope out the best options for child entertainment for Halloween from local Arizona vendors. These events are typically planned around the weekends and a car ride so I try and plan accordingly. This year we’ve planned a few family friendly outings that should be a great way to feel the spirit of halloween. If you live in Arizona or are visiting, you should check out the below for a great time:
Scnepf Farms Pumpkin & Chili Party (pumpkin patch & seasonal flavors)
Pumpkin Nights #attheprincess ( Nightly lights display, Jack-O-Lantern Lawn & Fireworks)
McDonald’s Ranch (Day time pumpkin patch, hay bale maze, petting zoom)
Halloween Town- Pumpkin Patch (Costumes, face painting, carnival rides)
Trick or Treating (our own neighborhood, of course!)
11 things to do if you prefer not to trick-or-treat (staying in)
Also, if you plan to travel in the car, here’s a few items I recommend having on hand especially if you are traveling with kiddos:
- Snacks (for the low blood sugar melt downs)
- Beverages & water bottles
- Sweater or jacket (for cooler AM/PM temps)
- Halloween themed books
- IPAD or tablet featuring halloween movies & music
- Sunscreen / bug spray
- Hats
- Diapers & wipes (extra change of clothes)
- Wagon or stroller (when the kids boycott walking)
- Cardboard box or laundry basket (to hold your souvenir pumpkins & apples!!)
- Cash (as vendors don’t always take credit cards)
- Picnic blanket
I hope you find these recommendations & resources helpful. Remember 90% of success is just showing up- including holidays & weekends, HA! Celebrate the season of Halloween and enjoy!
