Product review: NuWave Air fryer

This year for Christmas, Santa brought me a wonderful new kitchen gadget to try: a NuWave air fryer. I have to say that at first I was genuinely skeptical of the air fryer’s ability to WOW me. We already own a toaster oven, 2 sizes of crockpot, a rice cooker, a pressure cooker (old school stove top type) and an insta-pot. What more could there be needed in our kitchen? To be honest, we’re also running out of space on our kitchen counters so this had been a month’s long debate of wether it was practical to own one. Whatever that means- HA!

It’s possible in my last life that I may have been a product tester for so much that I love testing new kitchen gadgets. But I wasn’t worried because Santa DOES A LOT of research before buying new kitchen gadgets. Thankfully Santa decided it would be best to replace our toaster over (mediocre toast) with an air fryer that was also a convection oven. This way we would not have more kitchen appliances, just a better overall unit to provide more options. Purchasing this air fryer might have been the best decision we’ve made as a family in 2021. Let me explain…

While we liked our toaster oven just fine, the toast that it produce was lackluster. Sometimes too dry, and other times barely toasted. However, the new air fryer essentially makes the BEST FRICKEN toast I’ve EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. It delivers a LEGIT crunch factor. Did I mention we’ve also done fish in the air fryer? Well, we have and it only took 15 minutes- WITHOUT oil, making it a healthier meal to prepare. We’ve friend leftover cornbread, chicken, fries and a myriad of other things. Simply put: the NuWave air fryer delivers.

If you are thinking about purchasing an air fryer and have been putting it off, I would urge you to try it. Need a gift for Valentine’s Day or someones birthday? This is the winning gift. If you’ve purchased an air fryer and want to share your recipes or unit type, please leave a comment. I would love to hear what everyone else is making and enjoying out there!
