We’ve officially reached full on HOLIDAY TIME!! If you are anything like my family, you already put your Christmas tree up over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Now it’s time to celebrate fun HOLIDAY things to do over the next month…anywhere!
If you are anything like me, you wait the entire year ready to go ahead and celebrate Christmas starting the day after Thanksgiving (or maybe even Halloween). That gives you approximately 1-2 months to celebrate as much Christmas cheer as possible. But there are so many things to do to ring in the season, where to start? It’s normal to feel a bit overwhelmed with the rush and to- do lists, and feel obligated to hustle and bustle. How about a few ideas to have fun, try a new craft or recipe and maybe even get some fresh air? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. Want to have some wintery fun, check out these ideas:
Sledding or Skating (tips for keeping kids safe & warm)
No-sew blankets (Christmas gift)
Ornament making (75 ways)
Cookie baking & cookie swaps (150 recipes)
Holiday Hallmark & Lifetime TV Show Binge (Oh heck yeah!)
Seasonal home decorating (15 ideas)
Holiday cocktails (50+ cheers!)
*** Live in or traveling to Arizona? Here is a fantastic list of local things to get you in the spirit:
Desert Botanical Garden: Las Noches de las Luminarias (live music, hot cocoa & more)
Black Theatre Troupe’s Black Nativity (a culturally enriching portrayal of the nativity)
Grand Canyon Railway: The Polar Express (legendary train ride based on the best selling book)
Phoenix Zoo : Zoolights (a festival of lights scattered around the entire zoo. Food, drinks and lights display set to musica)
Holiday Lights at the Railroad Park (night time ride on the train through holiday lights)
Last, but not least…Mannheim Steamroller (Tempe & Prescott concert)
So go ahead, deck the halls with boughs of holly and pour yourself a drink while you are at it! Wishing you a very happy holiday season and new year!
